PFI brings Christmas cheers to Baseco

Smiles were painted across the faces of Prudentialife-GK Village residents during the Prudentialife Foundation, Inc.’s (PFI) Pamaskong Handog sa Baseco last December 15, 2007.

The Annual Pamaskong Handog is Prudentialife’s gift-giving activity for its Gawad Kalinga community at Baseco in Tondo, Manila.

Each of the forty-six families living in the village were given pails of groceries, packages of snacks and choices of other items that were donated by Prudentialife employees.

These items were collected during the call for donations last November.

The program kicked-off with a thanksgiving mass and a holy water blessing celebrated by Fr. Joel Taping. PFI Senior Assistant Vice President for Finance and Accounting Edna Constantino said that “the gifts given are part of the company’s tradition to share its blessings with others.” Various lanterns crafted by Prudentialife employees for the Christmas activities adorned the village strip during the event.
