The top three outstanding and ten excellent Sibol
school teachers from the different Gawad Kalinga (GK)
communities nationwide were honored with the “Gawad
Bayaning Guro” (GBG) recently during the GK
Global Summit 2006 at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay
City. Sibol is GK’s early childhood education
program to provide quality education for children
from the poorest of the poor. The Sibol school teachers
in each GK village are the unsung heroes behind the
GK pre-school program. As part of the Prudentialife-GK
PAGASA project, the efforts of these unsung heroes
are recognized for the first time with the GBG. The
Couples for Christ – Education Foundation, Inc.
(CFC-EFI) which is the educational arm of GK that
oversees the Sibol program selected the top three
outstanding national and ten excellent Sibol teachers
from the different GK villages nationwide.
In 2006, Prudentialife implemented its new creative
strategy through an Integrated Marketing Communications
campaign known as the “PAG-ASA” Campaign
which is again pegged to the core values of the company
– Nobility,Culture of Excellence and CSR. With
a theme “Sa Prudentialife, Buhay ang Pag-asa”,
the campaign embedded a unique CSR concept centering
on education - the Prudentialife-GK PAGASA project.
The Prudentialife-GK PAGASA stands for PAaral, GAwad
and SAgip and is a significant step in sustainable
community development for the Prudentialife-GK Village
in Baseco. The JATA Sibol School at the Prudentialife
Village in Baseco serves as the project pilot center.
